Weregamer's Gaming Utilities

This file last updated Aug 7, 2001.

I've written these utilities for my own use. As of this writing they are all FREEWARE, with the obvious consequence that I can't guarantee anything about them. They work on everything I've tested with, including the relevant simulators, and I think they'll work on any machine they claim to, but I can only be 100% certain that they work the hardware I have.

The following programs are available in this directory:

Name Description Platforms Version Date Screenshots
PocketDice Flexible Configurable RPG Dice Roller Pocket PC 1.03 2001/03/30 main screen
roll configuration
BlackDice Flexible Configurable RPG Dice Roller for RIM BlackBerry RIM 85x, 95x 1.1 2001/08/07 main screen
MookMasher Combat Manager for Feng Shui Pocket PC
(HPC2000)
1.0 2000/10/11 main screen

If you are looking for more Pocket PC software or information, here are some sites to try:

pocketgamer.org
A site that only covers the important stuff!

dalecoffing.com
Probably the best single place for unbiased, noncommercial info about Pocket PCs. Dale concentrates on info and reviews, rather than providing software downloads.

Pocket PC Thoughts
A good source for breaking news, with a software library. Not as much daily info as Dale Coffing, but more emphasis on the authors' daily uses for his Pocket PC.

Pocket PC Minds
Another news site, with lower volume than the other two, but they have a software library as well.

PocketGear
Of the commercial sites that broker shareware and distribute freeware, this seems to be the best for Pocket PC users. They are Pocket PC only, while most such sites started out with Palm and do weird things like display 320x240 screenshots in a 160x160 box.

ce4you.cz
Hey, not every Pocket PC enthusiast is in North America, and P@vel's site is pretty good. Unlike Dale Coffing, he also includes software downloads, which may be faster than PocketGear if you're across the Pond.
